CODE OF CONDUCT

Laws and Regulations – Respect and abide by the rules of the government, national parks, conservation areas and public land. Keep to the laws and regulations that apply to four wheel driving relevant to the area in which you are visiting.

Fellow Human Beings – Respect the right of privacy, peace and solitude of other people. Obtain permission before driving on private land.

Fauna and Flora – Preserve our fauna and flora. Stop and look, never disturb or chase animals, as it might affect their survival. Obey fire restrictions and always extinguish fires. Bring out what you take in and never bury litter.

Vehicle Perfection – Keep your vehicle mechanically sound and clean to reduce environmental impact. Drive responsibly and do not drink and drive. Carry sufficient tools and spares.

Fellow Road Users – Obey the traffic rules. Drive defensively and set an example to others. Be friendly and courteous to fellow road users and assist them when they are in need.

Responsibility – Take responsibility for your actions. Promote the safe and responsible use of off-road vehicles. Accept responsibility for your group. Obey our Club code of ethics.

Responsible “Off-Road” Driving – Keep to existing roads and tracks. Avoid sensitive areas such as swamps and vegetated dunes. Travel with a group or another vehicle in remote areas. Take adequate water, food, first aid and fuel. Pre-plan trips carefully before departures.

Abide to Code of Conduct: It supports responsible Off-road drive recreation and is valuable only if you observe it.
