Club activities include social outings, Club nights, guest speakers, social functions, four wheel drive orientation and awareness days. A monthly newsletter which keeps all members up-to-date on forthcoming activities and issues affecting the members and numerous “special offers”.
Members have access to Club discounts and the knowledge of more experienced off-road drivers. Club days are held to show new members the correct way to handle equipment and the safe way to drive their vehicles.
Off-road driving is undertaken in the company of people with similar interests. By travelling in company with other off-road vehicles, areas can be visited in safety.
Off-road driving is family orientated, catering for all family participation in Club activities. One of the principal activities of the Club is the organisation of off-road trips of varying duration to interesting and challenging locations. Off-road Club outings may be day, weekend trips or extended trips of several weeks.
As a member of the 4 x 4 Events Club, you are part of the off-road fraternity and are kept aware of the issues and legislation affecting your recreation. Club members are able to contribute to the future development of the off-road fraternity through promoting and practising responsible off-road driving.
Many Clubs assist local organisations in projects and the opportunity exists to use your vehicle in the best interests of the community.
The Club will assist you with your choice of accessories for your vehicle. A winch, driving lights, tyres, suspension modification, etc. Will your choice be what’s best for your vehicle, if it is in fact required? Are you aware of the responsibilities that come with owning an off-road vehicle? How to drive it in the best interests of the environment.
Club members will also be catered for in a wide range of other activities and benefits not linked to off-road activities.
